Condensation or 'misting up' in a Jazz

Having followed your excellent advice over the years we bought an economical Honda Jazz a year ago. Since then we have been plagued by condensation on all windows which can be eliminated by use of the A/C, but which then returns as soon as we switch it off. The garage has been unable to determine the cause of this and have suggested that the car should be run with the A/C permanently on.

This would seem to defeat the whole object of the exercise which was to buy a car which is economical to run!
