Warranty from dealers

I have just brought a Fiat Punto 06 from a dealer for £3000. On the drive home I noticed some rattling noise ,but thought it may be because of the way I was driving it, due to it being a different car.

The noise was apparent on a few more occasions, and I took it to a local garage who have told me that the front coil spring is broken, shock absorber needs replacing, and exhaust clamp is broken. It has a 3 months warranty but only covers the coil spring.

Do I need to get the car serviced for the warranty to be active as there is no service history but have been told by mechanic that a service is not needed as looks like someone serviced it recently? I did call the dealer but he doesnt want to know, what can i do?

The dealer who sold you the car is liable for all these faults. Nothing to do with whatever 'warranty' he applied. He is legally liable.
