How can you tell which cars have DPFs?

Is there any easy way of telling which diesel cars have a DPF? I had assumed it was only those that were Euro V compliant but when browsing some second hand Renault diesels that were Euro IV compliant it appears they have a DPF termed a FAP.

Do all Euro IV compliant diesels have a DPF of some form or is there no ready way of telling?

Not all Euro IVs. Probably all of 2.0 litres or more but some lower powered 1.6s and 1.4s could get away without needing one. KIA and Hyundai resisted fitting them until the last minute. Some 90PS Ford/PSA 1.6 diesels did not need them and smaller 1.4 diesels did not have them either.
