High mileage Toyota Avensis
I am thinking of purchasing a Toyota Avensis CDX. Can you advise me if the car is reliable and good mpg. The car has 123,000 miles on the clock. Is there anything I should look out for? It's w reg and I've heard a lot of good things about Japaneese cars.

This will be a £700 snotter so you are taking a chance. Prone to lambda sensor, gearbox and power steering failures any of which might cost more than £700 to repair. Isn't Japanese. Made in Chesterfield. What I have on it is here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/toyota/avensis-1997/
