The right screen wash for a Volkswagen Polo

The last two winters a cable has burst leading to the rear screen washer. Screenwash pours into the passenger footwell when operating the back screen washer. The car has been fixed twice under warranty. Someone said that there is a specific sreenwash I should be using to prevent this happening again?

VW garages will sell their own expensive screenwash additive. But it's quite common for pipes on VWs to pop off, often at the rear when they flood the rear light clusters.
