Bolt-on wonderer

I contacted you a while back about great customer service I received at Toyota when replacing my engine and cat after developing a fault after 5 years and 90,000 miles. Well, here's one from the other end of the scale - SEAT. My wife's Altea went in for a cambelt change to a local dealer which I thought went OK until a few weeks later a calamitous fracturing of the engine mount bolt ended up in a £930 repair. I have had no response from the dealer and would like to think SEAT UK would be interested? Shame really, the Altea's been a nice little car and would have thought of buying another. Any advice, as always, appreciated.

Presumably this was the engine mount bolt at the cambelt end of the engine that has to be removed to replace the cambelt. The dealer should just put his hand up and admit negligence. Find out if he is a subscriber to Motor Codes and if it is take the matter up with www.motorcodes.co.uk If not, www.moneyclaim.gov.uk, graduating to the Small Claims Track of the County Court if necessary
