Tweenage crush
I would be interested to know is there any value in a trade-in for a Vauxhall Vectra 1600, date of registration 27.11.98, S registration, 85,000 mileage or would I be better looking into the scrappage scheme? In your opinion what would be the better car to purchase and would I be better with a new model or a good second hand model, one to two years old, i.e. reliability, mpg, Vauxhall Astra or Ford Focus or would you recommend any other model or make?

That's a scrapper. Go for a Hyundai i30 1.4ES at £8.295 after scrappage.
