Peugeotory

I wonder if you might be able to offer some advice please. Over the last couple of months I have had problems with my nine-year-old Peugeot 106 and despite asking two garages to investigate it is still not fixed. I have dealt with two main Peugeot dealers. The first seemed to operate a trial and error method of repair; if one repair didn’t work then they would find another part to replace and so on. Frustrated with this approach I went to a different dealer in another area. Problems have been various and not always present over the whole period. Briefly they are: incorrect idle such that at some points on ignition the revs drop to zero and the car stops; difficulties pulling away from stationary; battery light intermittently lighting momentarily when slowing down; the car occasionally losing power when travelling at a constant speed; the gas pedal independently dipping away from my foot when I have eased off the gas in traffic.

If you go to www.motorcodes.co.uk and find that the garages are subscribers, then you can take your dispute to Motor Codes for conciliation and for arbitration binding on both parties.
