SORN again crushed one
I have owned my car over twenty years. I made it SORN in 2008 when the MoT ran out and after it was 'hot wired' and had the lock and dashboard damaged. I didn't know whether it was worth the expense of having it repaired, although it has always sailed through the MoT and I still love it. I have been told that as the car is SORN I do not need an MoT or insurance to avail myself of the scrappage scheme. Is this correct and, if so, how do I get it to the garage or will they collect it?

No. The car has to have a current MoT, or one that has not expired more than 14 days before the deal.
