Grand tourist

My wife and I are after a good car for long journeys, including touring Europe; something that we could drive 400 – 500 miles per day and still enjoy a nice meal out in a good hotel in the evening, rather than go straight to bed to recover. A soft-top would be ideal, but if that compromises the comfort for journeys, we would forgo the ‘fun’ element and go for a hard-top. We have a maximum of £50k to spend on a new car.

The Lexus IS250C is the most refined convertible in the world. It has an astonishingly smooth engine and automatic transmission.
