Getting Teves fixed

The Teves Mk60 ABS/ESP problem is turning into a bit of a nightmare especially for pensioners like myself who have just bought what they considered to be their last car, expecting it to run for six or seven years without major bills. My Altea XL is two years old and I am having it Main Dealer Serviced. If I am unlucky enough to end up with a faulty Teves Unit, irrespective of the cost of repair, has the replacement module been updated to eradicate the fault or could it happen again? If there are still likely to be problems, I and others like me, will have to consider getting a different car at the end of the three-year warranty, for peace of mind.

Yes, but not by SEAT, not by VAG and not by the makers ATE, but by an enterprising British firm that rebuilds the modules at minimum cost, eliminating the problem area (replacement TEVES Mk 60s can have the same problem).
Here: ecutesting.com/vw_golf_touran_abs_pump_module.html VW itself does not approve of this modification and asks any VW owner with the problem to e-mail: volkswagencustomerservices@volkwagen.co.uk
