Signs of the times

About twice a week I join a two-lane dual carriageway from a single carriageway road that joins it at right angles at a roundabout. Several times over the years I have nearly been hit by a car from the dual carriageway whose driver indicated left as he/she approached the roundabout only to proceed ahead rather than to turn left. Then, of course, one is confused by those who approach form the opposite side of the roundabout and give no signal all.

Yes, a lot of idiots on roundabouts signal left then pass an exit and take the next exit. If there was a collision, the fool who indicated early would be at fault. But you can't trust indication alone. You have to watch what the car does after indicting and only pull out if it takes a previous exit.
