Just diesing

I am thinking of buying a FIAT 500 with the diesel engine. I recall that some time ago you said that there had been problems with the diesel engine but I can't remember what they were. Also, the diesel engine has just been changed to a 95PS version. Have you had a chance to try this out and what are your thoughts about it? I what be very grateful for your comments.

If they are used for repeated short runs they clog their particulate
filters and the extra diesel injected into the engine to regenerate the
DPF sinks to the sump instead, contaminating the sump oil. For long runs, though, they should be excellent. The seats are good. They cruise well. The new suspension is a vast improvement. And the new 95PS 1.25 diesel should get close to 70mpg. No reliability worries with 500s either. Mine is 26 months old, recently had its second service, and nothing has gone wrong.
