Jaguar X-Type won't start

I've an 06 Jag diesel which won't start. TRYS it little best and fires but cuts out after a second or maybe two. Constant trying brings up the flashing glowplug on the dash/ engine problem.Enough fuel in, put another gallon in and battery good. Any ideas?
