Fuel consumption

I have a Peugeot 206 2.0-litre HDi, which has suddenly started using fuel excessively. What could be the cause? It used to return approx 50mpg but this has dropped significantly in just the past three days.

Remaining on overfuelling because the temp sensor is not telling the ECU when the engine has warmed up.
