Hi Guys,
Could anyone tell me where to find the engine number on a 2005 ford mondeo 1.8 LX?
Also, if the engine should have 'Duratec' label/sign on it?

Don't know about the "Duratec" label, but the engine number is on a sticker on the cam belt cover.

IIRC its on the logbook and usually in the Service book supplied with the car.......

The engine number is the last five numbers of the VIN code which you will find on the VIN plate,also at the bottom of the screen and stamped in the floor by the drivers seat-not always on the engine.That will have a 3 or 4 letter code to denote type of engine.
