Used manual car for under £1500

I currently hold an automatic license and have held it for about 1 year and have driven a 2000 (mk1) Ford Focus LX auto 1.6 for about 1 year now. I am 18 years of age, and I'm about to take my 2nd manual test (fingers crossed I don't stay in reverse when moving off again!). I'm looking for a used car as good as the Ford Focus but is under £1,500. Do you have any recommendations?
