Dear John my mother has a volkswagen polo 1.2 (C) 2008 model and has had pronounced noise from the vehicle. On vistng local Kwik fit, she has been qouted £450 labour and costs, is this reasonable in your considered opinion. Many thanks again

Depends on the extent of the damage. £450 reads like a lot just for one strut; reasonable for two. But if all that has failed is the bearing at the top of the strut then the job should be cheaper.
