Can I update my DAB radio?

Occasionally when I switch on my screen shows firmware updating afterwards the screen is blank and I have no working radio until after the ignition is off and the car is parked and locked for a while. If this happens on a long run such as after stopping for a break I have no entertainment. Is there anything I should do to prevent this?

Whether you can update the software yourself or not depends on the type of system fitted to your car. You can check this yourself by registering on the Vauxhall service portal here: www.vauxhall.co.uk/discover/myvauxhall.html and following the instructions. A software update may be available that will solve this issue.

If this is not the case you may need to take your car to a Vauxhall dealer, or alternatively an independent Vauxhall specialist that has the facility to perform updates.
