Is a missing heat shield an MoT failure?
If the rear heat shield is missing is this an MoT fail?

The current guidance states that a missing fuel tank shield or exhaust shield where fitted as original equipment is a dangerous fault, so if your heat shield falls into either of these categories then we would advise having it replaced.

I've heard differing opinions but I understand if a tyre pressure monitor fails, it is an MoT fail? Is this true, if so it makes no sense? Surely the MoT is concerned with vehicle safety? A failed tyre...
