What does the warning light on my Ford Mondeo estate mean?
I have a Ford Mondeo Titanium X 1.8 and don't understand what the orange warning light on the dash means. It's a symbol of a car with a skid mark below it and it only appears when I turn ESP off. Is that just a warning that I've turned it off or is there something wrong?

Yes. That is a warning that you've turned the ESP off.
