Can I get a grant to install a home EV charger?
I have just ordered a Kia Niro PHEV - my third Niro - a great car. My intention is to use the 13amp lead provided. Most of my journeys are local so would this method be sufficient or should I consider having a heavier charger fitted and, if so, who should fit it - the dealer says to contact my energy provider. Is there still any form of grant available to fit it should I need to?

Yes, the Government still offers an EV charge point grant that provides a 75 per cent contribution to the cost of its installation up to a maximum of £350 incl. VAT. You must either live in a rented property or own a flat with dedicated off-street parking to qualify, though. You must also own or lease a suitable electric car, and you can only claim it once per car and household.
The scheme used to be open to homeowners (including people with mortgages) who live in single-unit properties such as bungalows and detached, semi-detached or terraced housing but this ended in April.
