There are problems with a car I have put a deposit on - what should I do?
Having laid down a £100 deposit on a 2009 Renault Koleos it subsequently failed the MoT on rear suspension arms. The garage owner says he is struggling to get decent parts. This was six weeks ago so I went to see him and he said he tried fitting aftermarket rear suspension arms but when the mechanic tried fitting the bushes, the arms bent. I believe he's talking codswallop and trying to fob me off to give me the deposit back so to increase the price of the car. It's only £1,895 and a lot of car for the money.

Either there is a genuine shortage of parts or the dealer is being dishonest. Either way, I'd suggest getting your deposit back and finding another car for sale.
